Multi-currency pricing for WooCommerce
CURCY Pro and CURCY Premium are paid editions of CURCY - Multi Currency for WooCommerce. They include the free feature set, which supports two currencies, and add controls for stores that need more. Customers can view product prices in various currencies, switch currencies while browsing, and pay in another currency when the shop enables that option.
Customer currency selection
Let clients change currencies with a currency bar, a currency price switcher, or a shortcode. CURCY can detect a customer’s country from their IP address and display the currency configured for that country. Choose WooCommerce geolocation or an external IP2Location service, which requires an API key. Stores can also show the default price alongside an approximate price in the customer’s native currency.
Exchange rates and product prices
Administrators can enter exchange rates manually or schedule automatic updates at intervals from 30 minutes to one month. Available rate sources include VillaTheme, Google Finance, and Yahoo Finance. The plugin can add a permanent exchange fee, send an email when rates update, and use custom currency symbols such as USD, US$, or $.
- Add fixed product prices for different currencies. These override prices calculated from exchange rates.
- Import fixed prices in bulk from a CSV file.
- Adjust displayed prices with currency-specific formatting rules, such as rounding $9.87 to $9.99.
- Hide currencies from the storefront when they should not be displayed.
Stores can also configure currency to follow a customer’s billing or shipping country. When the customer changes that country, the currency can switch to the one configured for it.
Checkout and language options
The selected currency can be saved in a session instead of cookies. A store can also require a specific currency at checkout after the customer selects ‘Place order’. If product and checkout prices use different currencies, the multiple-currency display option can show the relevant values together.
JavaScript currency switching can change the selected currency without adding it as a URL tag. Payment methods can be assigned to currencies; other methods are hidden at checkout. For multilingual stores, administrators can select currencies for languages supported through WPML and Polylang.
Setup and conditional display rules
Install CURCY on a WooCommerce store, activate the paid edition, and configure currencies, exchange rates, customer detection, and display settings. Add the currency bar, switcher, or shortcode where customers need it. Review product pages, the cart, and checkout to confirm prices and available payment methods follow the selected currency rules.
Conditional display rules accept allowlisted WordPress and WooCommerce is_*() tags only, using an allowlisted parser without eval(). Use valid conditional tags from trusted developers.
Each purchase includes either six or twelve months of premium support, depending on the purchase.
