Choose when backups run and where files go

Everest Backup Pro handles WordPress backups, restoration, migration, and cloning from the WordPress Dashboard. Create a backup manually or schedule it for a chosen date and time. Premium settings provide more flexible scheduling and automatic retention options for cloud storage.

Google Drive integration is available in the free version. Add-ons support Dropbox, OneDrive, AWS Amazon S3, pCloud, and Backblaze. Connect a supported service and select a backup location to upload files remotely. Premium features let you download or delete cloud backup files from the Dashboard without signing in to the storage service separately.

What happens to local and cloud backup files

You can configure local backup files to be deleted after a successful cloud upload. Automatic removal from the web server can be set according to a selected number of days. Cloud retention settings help manage older remote files. Add a custom name tag to make backup files easier to identify.

How a migration key moves a website

Install and activate Everest Backup on both sites. On the source site, make a backup and generate a migration key. Copy the key to the destination site, verify the migration details, and start the clone. This process works with moving a site to a new host, server, or domain without downloading and uploading files through your computer.

Restore a site or multisite network

Restore backups from the WordPress Dashboard. Everest Backup Pro also supports one-click rollback from remote cloud storage. For WordPress Multisite, it can back up and restore the entire network.

What can trigger a backup or report

  • Run a backup after a WooCommerce order.
  • Run a backup before a WordPress, add-on, or theme update.
  • Exclude unused images and media from backup files.
  • Send advanced email notifications and reports about backup status, with multiple recipients.
  • Review human-readable logs and reports, including notices about the last automatic backup process.

Set up backups in the Dashboard

Install and activate the extension, then open its settings in the WordPress Dashboard. Connect a cloud service, choose a backup location, and set up manual or scheduled backups. From there, review logs, manage stored files, set retention or removal preferences, and configure email reports.
