WordPress plugin
FileBird Pro
As a WordPress media library grows, virtual folders make uploads easier to browse and manage. FileBird Pro lets you create folders and subfolders, move documents in bulk, and choose a destination folder when uploading. Moving a file between folders does not change its permalink or the upload path used by your website.
Organize media without changing file links
As a WordPress media library grows, virtual folders make uploads easier to browse and manage. FileBird Pro lets you create folders and subfolders, move documents in bulk, and choose a destination folder when uploading. Moving a file between folders does not change its permalink or the upload path used by your website.
The collapsible sidebar keeps the folder tree available while you work. Use drag and drop to arrange files and folders, or open a folder’s context menu to create a subfolder, rename or color a folder, cut, paste, or delete it. Pro also offers a flat tree view that hides folder levels when a large structure is difficult to scan.
Sort and locate files
Search file and folder names in the media library or while browsing images in the page or post editor. Pro includes two folder sorting methods and ten file sorting methods, including sorting attachments by file size. You can choose Dropbox or Windows 11 styling for folder icons, set a startup folder or return to the last folder opened, and find or change a file’s folder from its details modal.
Organize pages, posts, and products
FileBird’s free version supports one folder level for posts and pages. Pro includes multi-level folders for both, along with folders for WooCommerce products, coupons, and other custom post types. Its visitor-based folder view lets users manage personal categories or directories without changing another user’s folder structure.
Export folders and migrate structures
Download a media folder as a ZIP file with its subfolders and files arranged in the same structure. You can also export the full media folder structure for migration or backup. FileBird Pro can import and synchronize folder structures from Enhanced Media Library, WP Media Folder by JoomUnited, WordPress Media Library Folders by Max Foundry, Real Media Library, and HappyFiles.
Selected integrations support themes, builders, translation utilities, and other plugins. Examples include Avada, Divi, Enfold, Elementor, Bricks Builder, Beaver Builder, Visual Composer, Oxygen, Thrive Architect, WPML, Polylang, Slider Revolution, EWWW Image Optimizer, and FooGallery.
Get started
Install and activate FileBird in WordPress, then open the media management area. Create folders or subfolders and drag existing uploads into place, or choose a destination folder when uploading new files. Use the migration or export tools when you need to bring in or preserve an existing folder structure.
