Genesis Pro

Genesis Pro is a subscription that extends Genesis Blocks, a collection of page-building blocks for the Gutenberg editor. Content creators, marketers, and developers can use the blocks to assemble WordPress pages and site layouts.

Choose blocks and layout starting points

Genesis Blocks includes tools for common page components, such as Section & Layout, Advanced Columns, Newsletter, Pricing, Post Grid, Container, Testimonial, Inline Notice, Accordion, Share Icons, Spacer & Divider, Author Profile, and Drop Cap.

Genesis Pro includes two blocks, 26 pre-built full-page layouts, and 56 pre-built sections. Select a starting styling in the editor and adapt it to the page. You can also save your own sections and layouts for reuse.

Manage access and use Genesis products

Advanced block-level user permissions let site teams control editing access to specific blocks. The subscription also includes access to and support for the Genesis Framework and all 35 StudioPress-made premium child themes, along with additional advanced features for the rest of the Genesis Product Suite.

Genesis Blocks works with any theme. StudioPress recommends Gutenberg-ready themes such as Revolution for presentation. Each block also has built-in support for Google AMP, a publishing format for mobile pages.

Editor changes to know

The Genesis Blocks Button and Call To Action blocks are deprecated in favor of WordPress core blocks. They convert when you open the block editor. Custom styling may change if it targets classes other than gb-block-button or gb-block-cta.

Install and get started

  1. Install and activate Genesis Blocks in WordPress.
  2. Open the Gutenberg block editor and choose a block, section, or full-page layout.
  3. Adjust the design, then save sections or layouts you want to reuse.
  4. Set block-level permissions when site users need various editing access.

Genesis Pro features are available through its subscription. Genesis Blocks requires WordPress 5.3 or later, and user and developer documentation is available for setup and use.
