Choose criteria and matching controls
Forms can filter by category, tag, custom taxonomy, post type, post date, author, custom field, and post meta. Display fields as dropdowns, checkboxes, radio buttons, multiselects, or comboboxes. Custom fields and post meta support these input types. Date pickers narrow results by date, while a jQuery range slider works with numeric ranges. Selects and multiselects can use auto-complete comboboxes.
Set how results update and sort
AJAX results let users update filtered content without a full page reload. The Order Results field can sort by meta value, post ID, author, title, name, date, modified date, parent ID, random order, comment count, or menu order.
Build forms and place them on the website
Create as many fields and forms as needed, then arrange the fields with the drag-and-drop editor. Custom templates control how results appear. Add forms to themes and posts using shortcodes or widgets. The extension has a WordPress admin interface, and its documentation includes configuration examples with screenshots.
Use with different content types
Property websites can combine taxonomies, post dates, custom fields, and range controls to narrow listings. Review and news websites can filter by category, tag, author, or post type. Online shops can offer product-oriented fields and sortable results, while blogs can provide more focused discovery than a basic keyword search.
The Pro edition is tested and compatible with WooCommerce, WP eCommerce, and Easy Digital Downloads. It also works with WPML and Advanced Custom Fields, supporting multilingual sites and content structures built with custom fields.
Set up a search or filter form
Install the plugin in WordPress and use the drag-and-drop editor to create a form. Select the fields and input types, configure result ordering, and apply a custom template if needed. Then place the form in a theme or post with a shortcode or widget.
