Timeline Pro
Timeline Pro organizes dates, milestones, steps, and journeys into interactive timelines for WordPress. The way you build one depends on where its content comes from: enter items in the Block Editor, configure a timeline for shortcode embedding, or draw from existing custom post types.
Timeline Pro organizes dates, milestones, steps, and journeys into interactive timelines for WordPress. The way you build one depends on where its content comes from: enter items in the Block Editor, configure a timeline for shortcode embedding, or draw from existing custom post types.
Choose how to add timeline content
In the WordPress Block Editor, add the Gutenberg Timeline block to a post or page, enter your content, and adjust the available layout and styling settings. To embed a configured timeline, make it in the Timeline area, copy its generated shortcode, and paste it into a post, page, or widget.
For timelines based on existing WordPress content, use the Dynamic Post Timeline block. It can create a timeline from any custom post type, with filters for taxonomy, terms, and author.
Set the layout and presentation
The Pro edition includes nine extra themes, including dual-orientation themes. Choose a vertical or horizontal layout, then use the available controls to adjust orientation and other layout details. Timeline items can have customized icons and animation. Descriptions support the Classic Editor and rich text formatting.
Choose a block for the timeline's purpose
The Accordion Timeline block groups steps in collapsible sections and supports custom status markers and interactive toggles. For a company history, the Company History Timeline block includes an interactive year card, clickable year rail, and auto-slide navigation.
Other specialized blocks include Career Timeline, Media Story Timeline, Event Schedule, Roadmap Timeline, and Year Navigator. Use them to present career progression, media stories, dated schedules, project plans, or year-based content. Timelines can also organize company milestones, product releases, conferences, education, course chapters, and project histories.
Add your first timeline
Install and activate Timeline Pro, then open a post or page in the WordPress Block Editor. Select the plus button, search for Timeline, and add the Timeline block. Enter your content, customize the available layout and styling options, then publish or update the page.
For the shortcode process, create and configure a timeline in the Timeline area, copy its generated shortcode, and paste it into a post, page, or widget.
