Alt Magic Pro connects WordPress image workflows to a cloud AI service that analyzes image content and surrounding post context to draft alt text. Review and edit the results before or after applying them. Descriptive alt text can help people using assistive technology understand pictures and support image SEO.

Process new uploads or existing media

Generate alt text automatically for new uploads, or make it for images already in the media library, individually or in bulk. CSV upload works with batch processing. For high-volume workflows, the service reports speeds of more than 10,000 images per hour. It includes 50 monthly credits for alt text generation and AI image renaming, with additional volume available.

Processed image history lets you view, edit, or regenerate previous results. Where supported, the extension can also generate image captions, titles, and descriptions.

Use product and page context

For WooCommerce catalogs, product information can inform alt text for product images. Alt Magic Pro supports output in more than 150 languages and integrates with Yoast, Rank Math, SEOPress, Squirrly SEO, and AIOSEO. It also offers a web app interface alongside the WordPress plugin. The plugin can scan Brilliant Directories pages, but generated text must be uploaded to those images manually.

Optional AI image renaming can create descriptive filenames for existing images and new uploads.

Cloud processing and setup

The plugin requires an active internet connection, an Alt Magic account, and an API key. Image documents or image URLs are sent to the service for AI analysis and processing. Basic plugin usage events are also transmitted for service improvement. Review the service's privacy practices and terms before sending image data.
