Free Downloads WooCommerce Pro

Free Downloads WooCommerce Pro lets a WooCommerce store offer eligible digital products without checkout. Stores can use it for audio files, course documentation, themes, add-ons, and digital catalogues for physical products. A product can contain one file or several.

Set who can download

Restrict free downloads by product, category, or tag. The Pro edition works with variable and grouped products. For free products that require membership, only customers with the required membership can download them. The extension works with WooCommerce Memberships and Subscriptions, and Pro also supports Paid Member Subscriptions by Cozmoslabs.

Choose delivery and presentation

Send visitors to a page before a download or email them a download link. Layout settings help present products with multiple files. Download buttons and links automatically match the theme; custom CSS and HTML classes are available for additional styling.

The plugin supports PDFs and is compatible with the official WooCommerce PDF Watermark plugin in the Pro edition. This compatibility applies to stores using that separate extension.

Set limits and review downloads

Limit how many free downloads a user can access per day, week, month, or year. Custom limits can apply to users with WooCommerce Membership plans, specific user roles, or individual user accounts.

Download entries include the product, variation when applicable, date, user, email address, and IP address. Store owners can review these records, and logged-in clients can view their download history on their WooCommerce account page.

Request guest emails

For guest users, the plugin can request an email address before a download begins. The email-capture process can also subscribe visitors to a MailChimp newsletter.
