Generate PDF using Contact Form 7 Pro

Generate PDF using Contact Form 7 Pro creates PDFs from Contact Form 7 submissions. Set up each form separately with its own document content, filename, and delivery choices. After a successful submission, the PDF can open in a new browser tab, appear as a link in the success message, or be attached to notification emails for the user, administrator, or both.

Pro can send dynamically generated or predefined PDFs through Mail 1 and Mail 2. Configure recipients and select whether to include PDF attachments. Uploaded Contact Form 7 documents can appear in the PDF, and another file can accompany the PDF email attachment.

When form data becomes a PDF

Build the document from submitted values, a header logo, and a thank-you message. Add form tags to the PDF content or filename, and use special mail tags or date formats where needed. The [_post_title] tag inserts the post or current page title. To show an acceptance value, use a matching tag that begins with [acceptance-], such as [acceptance-terms-condition].

The editor supports HTML and CSS within the capabilities of the mPDF library. Set header and footer text, page numbers, page size, margins, font size, and text formatting. Choose from supported fonts and templates, adjust the header image position, and use background pictures, colors, gradients, or text colors. Add a signature field with a shortcode to capture an end-user signature in the PDF, or apply customizable watermark text to one or more PDFs.

Where PDFs and submission entries are managed

The PDF Analytics Dashboard reports total PDFs generated, downloads, emails sent, and failed generations. Review charts by day, month, year, or a custom date range, along with recent activity showing user email, actions, and timestamps. Dashboard widgets can be enabled or disabled. PDFs can be stored on the server or with Amazon S3, Google Drive, or Dropbox.

In the WordPress administration settings for a Contact Form 7 form, choose or create its PDF configuration. Customize the content and fields, choose a filename and delivery method, then preview and save the PDF.
