Choose a post-submission action
- Redirect visitors to any URL.
- Open the selected page in a new browser tab.
- Run JavaScript after submission, including scripts used for conversion management.
- Pass selected form fields to the destination as URL query parameters.
For example, a contact form can send users to a thank-you page. Opening a destination in a new tab can leave the original page available, while query parameters pass selected form values to the next page.
DOM events replace removed options
Contact Form 7 deprecated the on_sent_ok and on_submit additional options, then removed them in version 5.0. This add-on uses DOM events to perform the selected action after successful submission and mail delivery, without disabling AJAX.
Set up the form
- Install and activate the add-on alongside Contact Form 7.
- Open the settings for the form you want to configure and select the Redirect Settings tab.
- Choose the page or URL to use after mail is sent successfully.
- Set whether the page opens in a new tab, add any JavaScript action, and select the form fields to pass as URL query parameters.
- Save the form settings and test a submission to confirm the process.
