How Schema Premium adds structured data

Schema Premium is a paid WordPress extension that extends the Schema add-on with more structured data types and controls. It outputs JSON-LD, which gives search engines machine-readable information about page content. Structured data may affect how eligible content appears in search results, but it does not guarantee an enhanced result.

Choose types, locations, and data

Enable types across a post type or category, or apply them elsewhere in your website content. Customize the source data for properties and map properties to available values. The plugin can also reuse post meta created by other extensions.

Premium adds support for Article, BlogPosting, Event, Course, SpecialAnnouncement, FAQPage, HowTo, JobPosting, LocalBusiness, Person, Product, Recipe, Review, Service, SoftwareApplication, and WebPage. FAQPage is included as a markup type; Google retired FAQ rich results in May 2026.

Structured data can cover pages, posts, archives, author pages, headers, footers, and breadcrumbs. VideoObject markup can be enabled automatically for oEmbed videos from VideoPress, YouTube, TED, Vimeo, Dailymotion, and Vine. AudioObject markup can be enabled for oEmbed audio from SoundCloud and Mixcloud.

Works with WordPress tools and extensions

Schema works alongside Yoast SEO, AMP, AMP for WP, WPRichSnippets, The SEO Framework, WPBakery Page Builder, ThirstyAffiliates, and Easy Digital Downloads. WooCommerce integration is provided by a separate Schema for WooCommerce extension. Other extensions include FAQ, How-To, rating, review, default image, and Schema Review features.

The plugin is intended for well-coded WordPress themes. The listed themes tested with it include Genesis 2.x, Thesis 2.x, and Divi. Developers can extend it through plugins, extensions, or a theme’s functions.php file.

Configure and review the output

  1. Install Schema Premium on your WordPress site.
  2. Configure the structured data types and content locations relevant to your site.
  3. Customize property sources if your process requires it.
  4. Review the generated JSON-LD and test the markup with Google’s Structured Data Testing Tool.

Paid users can contact the Schema.Press team for one-to-one email support. The controls are suited to publishers, site owners, developers, and shop operators who need broader structured data coverage.
