Simple Author Box Pro

Simple Author Box Pro adds responsive author boxes to WordPress posts, using profile details to identify contributors and help readers find their other work. A box can show an author’s gravatar, name, site, biography, job title, and social profile icons. WordPress visitor profiles include more than 30 social profile fields.

Where author information is attached

Enable guest authors and co-authors for posts with multiple contributors. Guest authors can also be used as co-authors. Display controls cover posts and related contexts such as categories and tags. Author boxes do not show on pages because the extension needs author information associated with the content.

Placement and profile links

Choose where the box appears and whether it sits before or after post content. Automatic insertion can place it at the end of a post. For a specific position, use a theme template file such as single.php or author.php.

Choose whether the author’s name links to their website, author page, or nowhere. Website links can open in a new tab and include a nofollow attribute. Set the website’s position on the left or right side of the box.

Style the profile for your theme

Set the color palette, font, and font sizes for the job title, website, name, and description. Configure social icon types and styles, including rotation effects, shadows, and thin borders. The author avatar can rotate when visitors hover over it.

The layout is designed for desktop, laptop, tablet, and mobile shows. The plugin also supports RTL and AMP.

For websites with multiple contributors

The Top Authors widget displays popular authors based on comments. The Simple Author Box widget displays users you choose.

After installing and activating the plugin in WordPress, configure its display rules, placement, links, typography, colors, and social icons. Add each contributor’s details to their WordPress user profile, including biography, website, gravatar, and social profiles. Review the box on representative posts and adjust its styling to fit the surrounding content.

Data handling

Simple Author Box does not track, collect, or process user data. If Bunny Fonts are enabled, they load from a third-party CDN, and related processing is subject to that service’s terms.
