VK Filter Search Pro

VK Filter Search Pro builds WordPress search interfaces from blocks in Gutenberg. Add a Filter Search Block to a search results page or post archive, pick the content type to target, and configure search fields without writing PHP.

Choose the content and search fields

Forms can target posts, pages, or custom post types. Visitors can search by keyword, category, tag, or custom taxonomy. The Keyword Search Block can search post content, while Taxonomy Search Blocks use the classifications configured on your site.

Apply Pro filters and selection rules

The Post Date Search Block includes date filtering, and Search Result Single Order controls the order of individual results. Custom Field Search can use information stored in custom fields; this capability is marked beta.

Taxonomy choices can appear as checkboxes or radio buttons. Checkbox searches support AND matching, which requires results to match every selected term, or OR matching, which accepts a match for any selected term. Taxonomy blocks can also show post counts and terms with no postings.

Adjust the form

Set block widths for each screen size, and edit the labels for search items and the search button. You can set any number of labels across the form, with one label for each search item.

Add blocks in the editor

Open the editor for the page or archive where the form should appear, then type /filter to find the VK Filter Search block. Selecting it inserts preset taxonomy blocks for category and tag, a keyword block, and a search button block. Change the block options and order, then configure the target post type and any Pro filters you need.

Review the active theme

Theme CSS can affect the form's appearance. The active theme also determines the search results page layout and which controls are available for adjusting it. Review the form and results with your theme after arranging the blocks.
