Custom Post Types - PRO extends dashboard tools for creating and managing structured WordPress content. The extension works with custom post types, taxonomies and fields; PRO includes templates, administration tools, additional field types, and options import and export.

Fields for WordPress content

Custom fields attach metadata to posts, pages, media, and other WordPress content. Depending on their setup, that data can help organize dashboard editing, add details to frontend content, or filter database queries. Fields can be assigned to post types, taxonomies, settings or admin pages, customers, media, comments, and menu items.

Field types include text, number, textarea, WYSIWYG editor, checkbox, radio, dropdown, telephone, email, date, time and color pickers, file upload, post and taxonomy relationships, HTML, and repeater fields. PRO also includes range, switch ON/OFF, password, link, embed, map, visitor relationship, and separator fields.

Templates and administration

Use custom templates to present content created with the plugin. PRO also lets you add dedicated pages and notices to the WordPress administration area. These tools can support a custom content section, structured details in an existing workflow, or project-specific administration.

Setup and settings

Install the plugin in WordPress and open its dashboard tools. Create the post types, taxonomies, fields, templates, admin pages, or notices needed for the project. Configure the available field settings, save the setup, then use the resulting structures while editing content.
